In October, delegates and guests of the General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees will gather in Minsk.
Minsk has already hosted the meeting of the Executive Board of the European Olympic Committee in September 2011.

About 300 representatives of the International Olympic Committee, National Olympic Committees, organisers of forthcoming Olympic Games (Pyeongchang 2018, Tokyo 2020, Beijing 2022), the organisers of the next Youth Olympic Games (Buenos Aires 2018) and the European Youth Olympic Festivals (Erzurum 2017, Gyor 2017), the presidents of international and european sports federations and other sports organizations.

Programme for participants will present Belarus from the perspective of its history, culture and traditions, which have carefully been preserved throughout centuries. Other places and sights can be found on www.belarustourism.by.

Transport in Minsk

Delegates to the General Assembly EOC will have transport available to them arranged by the Organsing Committee; availability can be checked at the NOC Belarus Headquarters. Public transport routes can be found on
www.minsktrans.by.

Weather conditions

Average temperatures in October in Belarus are within the range of 4-15 degrees Celsius. The weather can vary from cold and rainy to warm and moderate-precipitation.

     Dear Media representatives, please, kindly be informed that accreditation for 45th GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE EUROPEAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEES in Minsk is hereby started. According to the Regulations, to work in Belarus foreign journalists should be accredited at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (MFA).

ENTERING BELARUS

   All foreign nationals intending to visit Belarus must have the documentation required to justify the reason for their stay. Depending on your citizenship or country of residence, you may need a visa to enter Belarus.

NOC Belarus will be in charge of providing MFA accreditations and visas.

The following documents are required for accreditation:

           a written request signed by a mass media chief for accreditation of a journalist wishing to work in Belarus. The request should indicate first and family names, citizenship, date of birth, passport number, issue and expiration date, desired duration of accreditation, diplomatic mission where a journalist intends to receive an entry visa, purposes of the visit.

           standard application form completed personally by a journalist to be accredited.

           two photos of a journalist to be accredited (3x4 cm).

     You need to send scanned copies of the abovementioned documents in electronic format (.pdf files), and digital photos (.jpg files) by e-mail to press@noc.by and we will care about it.

     Accreditations will be distributed upon arrival at the NOC Belarus Headquarters.

Deadline for the accreditation campaign for the representatives of the Foreign Media is October 1, 2016.

Deadline for the accreditation campaign for the representatives of the National Media is October 7, 2016.

    Visa can be requested, when necessary, at the Belarussian Embassies and Consulates around the world. Please see official information on: http://mfa.gov.by/

     Representatives of foreign mass media temporary accredited at the MFA shall receive an appropriate accreditation certificate (accreditation cards).
